AFRICA NETWORK OF PRAYER

ERITREA-  NATION FOR FOCUSED PRAYER
There is still much unreached people and nations:
Nine recognized ethnic groups: Tigrinya 55%, Tigre 30%, Saho 4%, Kunama 2%,Rashaida 2%, Bilen 2%, other (Afar, Beni Amir, Nera) 5% (2010 est.)

Eritrea is located in Eastern Africa in the Horn of Africa, to the North of Ethiopia and bordering the Red Sea in Northeast. It has a mixed Afro-Asiatic population that is divided by religion and language.
The population of Eritrea (6,380,803 2014 est.) is equally divided between Christian (Orthodox Church, Roman Catholic and Lutheran protestants) and Muslim religions. The population of the high plateau (Asmara) is predominantly Christian, whereas that of the lowlands and the coast are predominantly Muslim. Despite contrasts between the Muslim and Christian religions and the potential for conflict, religious groups ( Muslims, Coptic Christians, Roman Catholics and Protestant) have managed to  live in harmony and peace.
We have no apostolic church established in Eritrea, there is no witness of the saving, transforming message of Acts 2:38, and because God

answers specific, focused and united prayer:

Pray ye therefore…that God will raise up and send forth a Missionary and workers into the harvest field of Eritrea.
Pray ye therefore…that God will open minds to receive the saving message of Acts 2:38 and divine wisdom that comes from Him alone.
Pray ye Therefore…that God will breakdown all barriers that would hinder the establishment of the United Pentecostal Church in Eritrea.
Pray ye Therefore…for the Lord to reveal Himself to these precious people through dreams and visions.
Pray ye Therefore…for authority over the demonic powers and spiritual principalities that are keeping these unreached groups bound.
Pray ye Therefore…for God to raise up prayer warriors who will begin breaking up the spiritual soil of Eritrea through  prayer, worship and intercession.
Pray ye Therefore…that the Lord will save leaders among these unreached groups.
Pray ye Therefore…that the Lord will raise up a strong Apostolic church in Eritrea.

SEYCHELLES
During our crusade on 4 and 5 July, four people were baptized in Jesus Name

LIBERIA
We thank God that revival fires are still burning in the UPC of Liberia after the Ebola outbreak, and we thank God that the Ebola is no longer raging in Liberia. There was a case after WHO declared Liberia Ebola Free, but the government moved quickly to contain it.,  and we are thanking God for that.

TOGO
A young man that was in prison and was baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Spirit, has now been released from prison and has made an application to come to our Bible School. We praise God for His miraculous transformation he makes in people when they are born again, just the same as He did for Paul in the Book of Acts.

August 4th —  Pray for the children of Africa

Each day, hundreds of millions of children suffer sexual exploitation, labor in hazardous conditions, or struggle to survive. Pray for the children of Africa, war and fighting can separate children from their families, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation. Children are also forced to join armed rebel groups. Famine and hunger force families to make desperate choices about putting children to work or girls into early marriage, and other forms of harm against children are among the greatest evils in the world. Beseech God to “deliver them from the hand of the wicked (Psalm 82:4) Our hearts need to be broken with the things that break the heart of God. Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless. Psalm10:12.

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUESTS:
BURUNDI
As violence and instability continue throughout the country tens of thousands have fled the country, and hundreds of thousands have fled the cities for the countryside, and scores have been killed.  Please pray for the safety of the pastors and saints who have been displaced and their lives disrupted by the political violence.  Pray for protection of the UPC of Burundi Orphanage in Bujumbura and Pastor Leonard and his family. Pray that they will have the food and provisions that they need.

SEYCHELLES
Please pray that during our General Conference all the members will be refreshed and grow in the knowledge of the Word of God, in prayer and holiness.  Pray the Lord may raise more workers to help in the work. Pray also that the Lord open a way for us to get a land to build our church building.  Thank you.

MAURITIUS
Please pray for our guest speaker for the Indian Ocean Conference August 5-9, Rev Louis Johnson.
