This year Calvary Church will be hosting some fun Christmas Events!

We will be adventuring into the palate of international culture for the Christmas Banquet on Dec. 6th at 6:30 PM

On Dec. 10th at 10:30 AM, Calvary Kids will be performing stories from the animals at the very first Christmas in a play called “Manger Tales”.

This year, Calvary’s annual Candlelight Service, the “Sunday night before Christmas” lands on Christmas Eve; so, Dec. 24th at 6:00 PM is the time when all will gather in the candlelight to sing and be inspired to bring “peace on earth”.

 

Fall Revival with Tim Greene

On November 17-19, (Friday & Saturday at 7 PM; Sunday at 10:30 AM) Calvary Church will be hosting a Fall Revival with Evangelist Tim Greene. You will absolutely want to make room your schedule to be in these revival services and be blessed by his ministry!

Tim-GreeneRev. Tim Greene is an ordained minister of the United Pentecostal Church has been a full time evangelist since 1998. Before that he served as Youth Pastor, Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Teacher, Pastor’s Assistant, Prison Minister, Homeless Minister, Drama Director, as well as other outreach efforts available to him and his family. As a full time international evangelist, he has traveled across the United States as well as Canada, the Philippines, and to South Africa. He travels with his wife, Lois. In the life of evangelism, he is involved in many different areas of ministry including Holy Ghost and Healing Crusades, revival services for local communities, Bible Studies, Altar Workers Seminars, Youth Rallies, Singles Rallies, and Men’s Conferences.

Through the power of a mighty GWebod, they have seen countless miracles. Many have been healed including those with deaf ears, crippled limbs, arthritis, sugar diabetes, tumors, blinded eyes and many other maladies. Hundreds have received the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in tongues, just like it is written in the book of Acts. Marriages have been restored, young people renewed in their commitment to God, deliverance from addictions of alcohol, drugs, pornography, perversion, and many other strongholds. They are committed to full time evangelism, traveling wherever is necessary to preach the gospel of Christ with a strong faith that anyone who touches Jesus will never be the same.

All Nations Sunday

ALL NATIONS SUNDAY is a concerted “cross-cultural” day of worship. Everyone is encouraged to invite someone of another ancestral, cultural, or language group to worship together.

Annually, the Sunday previous to United Nations Day (October 24) is designated to be ALL NATIONS SUNDAY. This year it will be October 22nd at 10:30 AM & 6:00 PM.

Back to School Rally 2017

On Friday, September 15th at 7 PM students from across the region will unite at the Back To School Rally at the onset of the new school year.  This annual event sets a spiritual tone for the students to make a positive impact in their classes and amongst their friends.

Rev. Justin Channell from Hampden, Maine will be the guest speaker; he is an international evangelist with a dynamic ministry. He is a member of Maine district youth committee and has been a guest speaker at a variety of churches and school campuses. Worship will be led by the talented, anointed worship team from Woodstock’s Calvary Church.

Media Smart has partnered with us again this year to provide some amazing door prizes!  All middle school, high school, college, and university students will be able to enter their name to win.

Following the rally at Calvary Church, the event will transition to the Ayr Motor Centre until 10 PM; where there will be pizza, pop and chips (for $5) as well as sports (Basketball, Volleyball, Ping Pong, Handball, etc – bring gym shoes).

 

McGuires Concert

Concert: Sunday, July 16th at 6:00 PM. The concert will moved indoors to Calvary Church Woodstock (135 Wallace Street) due to the thunderstorm forecast.

Featuring “The McGuires” singing from their album “Livin’ For That Day”.

The McGuires (Todd & Penny) are an award-winning Southern Country Gospel group from Harvey, New Brunswick, Canada. They have been singing Gospel Music together for over 20 years.

The McGuire’s have toured through Canada, the USA, and Africa. They have a total of 5 Country Gospel and Christmas projects to date, and have recently added an Instrumental CD to their inventory entitled, “Penelope”.

The McGuires have been members of The Maritime Gospel Music Association (MGMA), since the organization began. They have just completed a new album with Chapel Valley Recording Studio in Tennessee, where they have signed onto the Upper Room label.  The McGuires have been nominated and awarded in the following Categories:

Missionaries Joe & Tamra Beardsley

On June 11th at 10:30 AM, Calvary Church is hosting Missionaries Joe & Tamra Beardsley as they deputize to support their metro mission in Chicago, Illinois. Their ministry is to start churches in communities that have no apostolic church.  They have started multiple churches since 2003 – a few in the Chicago Metro area and one in the St Louis Metro area. They have also started and developed youth programs, a college campus ministry, discipleship and ministry training.

Missionary Amber Hackenbruch

On April 30th at 6 PM, Calvary Church is hosting Missionary Amber Hackenbruch as she deputizes North America to support her mission in Switzerland. Amber has been serving in the European and Middle East region since 2009, beginning on the Associates In Missions program in Austria. After two years of learning there, she transferred to Switzerland in order to help establish churches throughout the French and German speaking regions. After eight years as an AIMer and then associate missionary, she received intermediate appointment to Switzerland in February of 2017.

Spring Yard Sale

If you love Yard Sales, you will want to be at 135 Wallace Street on March 25th.  It will be held rain-or-shine in the Calvary Church basement.  In addition to the joy of finding great deals on unique treasures, you can feel great about being a part of a community fundraiser; this Spring Sale will be supporting Ladies Conference and Youth Congress.

If you like Turkey Dinner near the end of December at Christmas Time; why not start December with a Christmas Turkey Dinner in support of Calvary Youth to attend Youth Congress?

There are two settings, one at 5 PM and one at 7 PM, on December 3rd at 135 Wallace Street, Woodstock .

Reserve your seats by the form below or get your dinner tickets from one of the Calvary Youth.

Adults are $15, Kids (12 & under) are $7, Toddlers (4 & under) are free.

Turkey dinner includes drinks, salad, roll, vegetables, potatoes, dressing & dessert.  You will be served at your table by Calvary Youth group.  They look forward to showing you how proficient they are in their waitering/waitressing skills.

If you wish, as a bonus, Studio East will also be set up to take a Christmas photo of you and your family/friends. They will provide a digital image for $5; or you can get that digital image plus a Christmas card design for $10.
