Youth Emphasis Day

Calvary Church Woodstock is hosting a Youth Emphasis day to encourage teenagers as they live for God. The ministry in music and preaching will be focused towards their age group, but all ages (children, adults, and seniors) are welcome to attend as well. There will be two services, 10:30 AM and 6 PM; you are invited to attend both services.

Dan & Hailey MacLeod

Guest speaker for the Youth Day is Dan MacLeod, missionary to Latvia. He is the former youth president of Nova Scotia Youth.

We will prioritize seating in the Main Sanctuary for the teenagers and guests. In the event that seating reaches capacity with spacing for COVID protocol, overflow seating is available with video simulcast in the lower hall.

Church Inside

You can attend a Sunday service in-person, indoors, even with orange-level COVID restrictions. It’s great to be able to worship together, learn the Word together, and pray together at Calvary Church; experience new life!

Everyone can attend both Sunday services (10:30 AM and 6:00 PM).

The 10:30 AM service will have preaching and worship for everyone (adults, teens, and kids) together. There will also be a video-simulcast venue to help accommodate any overflow from the main sanctuary.

In the 6:00 PM service, the adults and teenagers will have worship and a sermon/study series in the main sanctuary. The 6:00 PM service will also include kid-specific ministry (like a mini day-camp) for children (ages 2-10) in the lower hall of the church.

Calvary Church has taken all the necessary precautionary measures to align with governmental requirements while in “COVID orange level”. We ask that all congregants follow the instructions of the attendants and ushers; they will provide directions for physical distancing, hand & respiratory hygiene, and health/travel screening.

A few notable considerations for congregants during this time:

  • Maintain a 6-foot distance between family/friend bubbles.
  • Singing is not permitted in the congregation.
  • Attendees are requested to wear a mask; exceptions are granted for those with physical or mental infirmities.
  • Refrain from physical contact.
  • Ushers/Attendants who will be supporting congregants will have masks and increased sanitation procedures.
  • Speakers and singers on the platform will not wear a mask while actively speaking or singing; they will maintain a 12-foot distance.
  • The building will be sanitized between services; (all personal items should be taken).
  • Note the health/travel screening questions below; follow the instructions accordingly.

Drive-In Church Rained-Out

Sunday at 2PM Online

With the weather forecast for Sunday May 3rd predicting rain in the afternoon, we will not be able to have Drive-In Church.

We encourage you to have a time of worship and prayer in your home prior to 2 PM.  We will have United Prayer, Singing, and Chat via ZOOM after the Pastor’s Message is completed.

At 2 PM you will have some options in how to connect to Pastor’s Message. Choose the best option for you:

On Calvary Church Woodstock Facebook Page

(Internet – video and/or audio lets you see other church members)

(Phone – If you don’t have good internet access, you can listen on your phone to Pastor’s Message, take part in United Prayer, and Chat).

If you have not already received your email invitation, CONTACT US and request the ZOOM information for the meeting.

With the physical church building being closed to the public, you can conveniently continue to support the ministries of Calvary Church through the secure PayPal online giving portal. If you want to make a donation directly, just contact us and we will arrange to accommodate that for you.

Christian Development

Christian Development lessons are available for self-study; they can be picked up outside the church building (or contact us and we can arrange to have them delivered), or DOWNLOAD HERE. Because fellowship is an essential part of our Christian life, we encourage you to be connected with a friend or another member of the church family, and discuss the lesson with them.

Please contact us if you have any other questions or prayer requests. If you leave a phone number or email, we will get back to to you.

Drive-In Church

During this time of precaution and distancing, Calvary Church is offering a safe, alternative, exciting way of doing “church”. On Sunday, May 31st at 2 PM, we are offering “Drive-In Church” for everyone to Experience New Life!

Drive-In Church will be hosted outside in the parking lot of Calvary Church at 135 Wallace St. (off Houlton St.) – directions. There will be singing, prayer, and preaching. All the congregants will be in their vehicles.

This is in full compliance with the provincial requirements in the revised state of emergency.

We care about the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of our church and community; and since worshiping, learning the Bible, and praying together is an essential part of our lives as Christians, we want to do all that we can to facilitate this need. We also recognize that every person has different tolerances, and every family has different circumstances; we encourage and support you in making the best decision for yourself and your family.

With the weather being unpredictable, we will be determining if Drive-In Church is happening week-to-week. Stay connected and watch for updates.

Here are some details that are required to keep Drive-In Church within the rules mandated by the Province of New Brunswick:

  • Attendees will remain in their vehicles during Drive-In Church.
  • Vehicles will be parked 2 meters apart.
  • The church building will be closed; washrooms are not available.
  • The electronic donation center will be available outside (or you can donate online); physical distancing and sanitary precautions will be maintained.
  • People who are carpooling with someone outside their household or “bubble family” – and thus, cannot maintain social distance – should wear a mask which covers the mouth and nose.
  • If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please stay home and contact us with your prayer request; we will pray for your healing.

If you have any further questions that have not been answered above or on the COVID-19 information page, please contact us.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Because the Government of New Brunswick has imposed a state of emergency which limits assembling in close proximity as a large group, we will be dividing our congregation to assemble at the required 6-foot distance. This is in compliance with the requirements of the provincial state of emergency.

Join together inside…

You can attend a service at Calvary Church and experience new life! The congregation has made room for you to attend by dividing into groups which attend services at different times so that each service has the availability for guests to attend. We have an overflow room set up if necessary to enable physical distancing.

If you have not already confirmed which service (10:30 AM or 6:00 PM) that you wish to attend, contact us HERE; this will help us to anticipate and prepare for the number of attendees in each service.

We have taken precautionary measures to align with governmental health and safety regulations. We ask that all congregants follow the instructions of the attendants and ushers; they will provide directions for: physical distancing (6-feet apart), hand & respiratory hygiene, and health/travel screening.

Even if you are unable to attend a church service in-person, you can conveniently continue to support the ministries of Calvary Church anytime through the secure PayPal online giving portal.

Read a message from the Mental Health Commission of Canada …

(Philippians 4:6-7) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Missionaries Bobby & Tanya Lewis

On Sunday night, August 11th at 6PM, Calvary Church will host a missionary service featuring the ministry of Bobby and Tanya Lewis, missionaries to Germany.

Bobby was born in the Chicago Metro area and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Tanya was born and raised in south Louisiana. They met at Jackson College of Ministries and from there relocated to Baton Rouge where they married and launched their ministry together.

Shortly after, they were appointed as missionaries to Germany where they served a four-year term before returning to the USA to plant churches. They are thrilled to be returning to Germany to continue planting churches and training workers for the German harvest.
