Missionaries to Sweden – Jonathan & Jenny Follmer

On Sunday, September 16th, at 6 PM Calvary Church will be hosting a Global Missions Service with missionaries to Sweden, Jonathan and Jenny Follmer.

Jonathan and Jenny worked in various capacities in their local churches before going on the Associates In Missions program to Scotland. Jonathan was heavily involved in worship leading and music, bus ministry, Sunday school and outreach. In 2006 he left for Scotland to attend Harvest Bible College. After graduating he did a one year internship with Bro. Kelley in Glasgow. Jenny graduated from Indiana Bible College and did an internship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with Rev. Keith Townsley the following year. She then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, to work with Bro. Paslay in The Calvary Academy as a teacher. She also worked with the youth while there. Jenny came to Scotland on AIM in 2009 and assisted the John Beek family in the nation’s capital. In 2010 Jonathan and Jenny married and in 2011 returned on AIM to Glasgow, Scotland. They served in Harvest Bible College and worked in church planting. They both taught in the college and served in administrative capacities. Jonathan also served as Vice-Principal of the school. They recently helped to establish a second year program at Harvest. They were appointed as missionaries in February 2017 and will be going to the country of Sweden.

Our good friends Sharoon Rosiel John will be planting a church in the city of Maastricht, Netherlands… We are blessed to spent time in their home and the city. We were blessed to teach a HomeGroup in the tallest apartment building in Maastricht.

Since arriving in The Netherlands seven weeks ago, Carla and I have taught Bible Studies in Coffee Shops, Cafes, Homes, a Hotel lobby and even in the Church facility…!

MULTIPLYING
Our passion is to MULTIPLY every ministry. That includes the bass guitar! Ton has quickly become a close friend to Carla and I, He is not only a musician, he is a teacher, and a Pastoral Team member.

Missionaries Joe & Tamra Beardsley

On June 11th at 10:30 AM, Calvary Church is hosting Missionaries Joe & Tamra Beardsley as they deputize to support their metro mission in Chicago, Illinois. Their ministry is to start churches in communities that have no apostolic church.  They have started multiple churches since 2003 – a few in the Chicago Metro area and one in the St Louis Metro area. They have also started and developed youth programs, a college campus ministry, discipleship and ministry training.

Missionary Amber Hackenbruch

On April 30th at 6 PM, Calvary Church is hosting Missionary Amber Hackenbruch as she deputizes North America to support her mission in Switzerland. Amber has been serving in the European and Middle East region since 2009, beginning on the Associates In Missions program in Austria. After two years of learning there, she transferred to Switzerland in order to help establish churches throughout the French and German speaking regions. After eight years as an AIMer and then associate missionary, she received intermediate appointment to Switzerland in February of 2017.

Benin ~ Michael Benson family

A total of forty were baptized in Jesus’ name, forty-one received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, forty-three were healed and thirty-two delivered throughout the nation.

There were two powerful special training seminars at two churches.

A lady who was pregnant for one year has miraculously delivered and the baby is well.

Burkina Faso ~ Ken Cantrell & Zach Sportsman families

A church was dedicated in one village. One of our pastors preached a great message and many received the baptism of the Holy Spirit throughout the weekend.

Twenty-five students packed into the missionary’s sitting room and listened to Rev. M. Showalter, International Campus Ministry Coordinator, teach on evangelism. The Holy Spirit fell and many lives were touched.

Cameroon ~ Terry Riddick & Rusty Riddick families

A total of thirty-four were baptized in Jesus’ name in three areas.

An AIMer and an MK ministered at one church and four received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. So far the church has baptized fifty in Jesus’ name this year.

The church building in one area is coming along nicely and the roof will be constructed soon.

Congo (Brazzaville) ~ Regional Missionary, Gistophe family

There were seven baptized in Jesus’ name and two received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Equatorial Guinea ~ Regional Missionary, Peter Mua family

There were three baptized in Jesus’ name and two were healed from sickness after prayer in Jesus’ name.

A new preaching point has been started.

We are so grateful to everyone who has prayed that peace would reign in our nation. God is continuing to work.

Throughout the month a total of four were baptized in Jesus’ name. Spiritual maturity is being established little by little.

Ghana ~ Nicky Sisco & Colleen Carter families

National Council reports a total of 1,115 baptized in Jesus’ name and 1,023 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit throughout the country in regular services and special events so far this year. There are also fifteen new preaching points.

A Children’s Ministry Training Seminar had thirty-nine registered attendees.

One regional service reported eleven received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, thirty-two were baptized in Jesus’ name and seventeen claimed their healing.

A total of twenty-five were baptized in Jesus’ name and seventeen received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Kenya ~ Jim Crumpacker & Patrick Groves families

A total of fifty-two were baptized in Jesus’ name, thirty-two received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and 204 claimed their healing. There were also 976 Bible studies taught.

A total of 201 were baptized in Jesus’ name and eighty-two received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Madagascar ~ Chris Richardson family

At the annual Kids Day for the central region a total of 329 children received the baptism of the Holy Spirit for the first time or were refilled.

A local church revival in the north region reports fifty-three baptized in Jesus’ name and thirty received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Malawi ~ Chris Gibbs family

During a three-day conference in one area a total of twenty received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and seventeen were baptized in Jesus’ name. One lady had a tumor in her eye for years and had lost her sight. She came up for prayer during the conference and her sight was restored! Also the village Head man who is a Muslim came forward for prayer and the Lord touched him. Believing for more to come!

There was a special two-week pastor’s wives Bible school training session with thirty-eight in attendance from all over the nation and even several from the Mozambique borders. They were taught many important Biblical truths. The missionary also held a life studies class each day to train them in practical things.

Mozambique ~ Regional Missionaries, Cezar Moraes & Vagner Moraes families

At two regional conferences a total of twenty-two received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Nigeria ~ Gerry McLean & Steve Phelps families

A pastor that just opened a new church has baptized eleven in Jesus’ name and six have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in six weeks.

One pastor baptized five in Jesus’ name including a Trinitarian pastor’s wife.

At a state convention eight were baptized in Jesus’ name and nine received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Tanzania ~ Richard Smoak family

At National Conference a total of 154 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and 110 claimed their healing.

There were eighteen baptized in Jesus’ name and twelve received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Uganda ~ Phil Tolstad family

Throughout the nation a total of at least ninety-two were baptized in Jesus’ name and forty-seven received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

There were five new churches started and at least eleven churches have also joined our organization.

The missionary traveled to the western part of the nation and visited two relatively new churches. One pastor built a good church and started two new branches in one year. The church branches were recently dedicated as full time churches and the pastor has started two more preaching points. Recently five received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and several were healed.

The ground was broken for the construction of a permanent church in another area. During the service one received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and two were baptized in Jesus’ name. There were also two Trinitarian pastors in attendance who expressed desire to work with our church. One of the pastors and his wife are presently in classes to study the Apostolic Doctrine.

After two weeks of meetings with banks, lawyers, brokers and sellers we are now in possession of the property for our bible school.

Zambia ~ Gary Abernathy family

At the official affiliation services where we welcomed a former Harvest For Christ Ministries into the United Pentecostal Church of Zambia a total of eleven received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and three were delivered from demon possession.

At two regional conferences a total of thirty-two received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and at least nineteen were baptized in Jesus’ name. There were also several healed and one delivered of demon possession.

There were forty baptized in Jesus’ name, nine received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and twenty-five received their healing and deliverance.

A child was raised from the dead.

A second Bible school is started toward the north of the country. There are currently four churches in this area with expectations of many more in the years to come. The students cannot come to the city school so we are taking the school to them.

** A new West African country has been opened. Training is started with the few contacts through small group studies using the GATS curriculum. Due to the nature of the work the name will not be publicized. We simply ask that you pray for the nations north, west and east of Burkina Faso.**

We rejoice on the progress of the building project in another city.

Two were healed from different sicknesses and four were delivered from demonic oppression.

We praise God for the ongoing Bible school training program.

In services attended by Global Missionaries a total of ten received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and at least eighteen claimed their healing.

At an all-night prayer service four received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

One was baptized at a local church this past Sunday.

During the past two months in regular services a total of sixty-nine received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and 138 were baptized in Jesus’ name.

At a Oneness Seminar nine pastors and church leaders were baptized in Jesus’ name. While ministering in a local church during the time we were there for the Oneness Seminar, eleven more were baptized in Jesus’ name and five received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

During two Children’s Crusades 187 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and thirty-two were baptized in Jesus’ name.

At a State Convention nine received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and eight were baptized in Jesus’ name.

There are thirty-four students in the GATS Diploma level of the Bible college. In a revival day at the Bible college a total of 146 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, twenty-two were baptized in Jesus’ name and thirty-four received their healing.

Uganda ~ Phil Tolstad family

The missionaries held an hour service at a new High School Campus with over three hundred students. God moved and many felt the power of the Holy Spirit for the first time.

Three new churches have been started in one district. The Asssistant Superintendent is traveling to this district this week to baptize up to one hundred people in Jesus’ name.

A new church was started in the capital and eleven were baptized in Jesus’ name this past week.

Another district church has completed their building construction and rejoice in the growth of the congregation. Bible school students report many have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and are being baptized in Jesus’ name.
