Youth Emphasis Day

Calvary Church Woodstock is hosting a Youth Emphasis day to encourage teenagers as they live for God. The ministry in music and preaching will be focused towards their age group, but all ages (children, adults, and seniors) are welcome to attend as well. There will be two services, 10:30 AM and 6 PM; you are invited to attend both services.

Dan & Hailey MacLeod

Guest speaker for the Youth Day is Dan MacLeod, missionary to Latvia. He is the former youth president of Nova Scotia Youth.

We will prioritize seating in the Main Sanctuary for the teenagers and guests. In the event that seating reaches capacity with spacing for COVID protocol, overflow seating is available with video simulcast in the lower hall.

Church Inside

You can attend a Sunday service in-person, indoors, even with yellow-level COVID restrictions. It’s great to be able to worship together, learn the Word together, and pray together at Calvary Church; experience new life!

Everyone can attend both Sunday services (10:30 AM and 6:00 PM).

The 10:30 AM service will have preaching and worship for everyone (adults, teens, and kids) together. There will also be a video-simulcast venue to help accommodate any overflow from the main sanctuary.

In the 6:00 PM service, the adults and teenagers will have worship and a sermon/study series in the main sanctuary. The 6:00 PM service will also include kid-specific ministry (like a mini day-camp) for children (ages 2-10) in the lower hall of the church.

Calvary Church has taken all the necessary precautionary measures to align with governmental requirements while in “COVID yellow level”. We ask that all congregants follow the instructions of the attendants and ushers; they will provide directions for physical distancing, hand & respiratory hygiene, and health/travel screening.

A few notable considerations for congregants during this time:

  • Maintain a 6-foot distance between family/friend bubbles.
  • Attendees are requested to wear a mask; exceptions are granted for those with physical or mental infirmities.
  • Refrain from physical contact.
  • Ushers/Attendants who will be supporting congregants will have masks and increased sanitation procedures.
  • Speakers and singers on the platform will not wear a mask while actively speaking or singing; they will maintain a 12-foot distance.
  • The building will be sanitized between services; (all personal items should be taken).
  • Note the health/travel screening questions below; follow the instructions accordingly.

Drive-In Church

During this time of precaution and distancing, Calvary Church is offering a safe, alternative, exciting way of doing “church”. On Sunday, May 31st at 2 PM, we are offering “Drive-In Church” for everyone to Experience New Life!

Drive-In Church will be hosted outside in the parking lot of Calvary Church at 135 Wallace St. (off Houlton St.) – directions. There will be singing, prayer, and preaching. All the congregants will be in their vehicles.

This is in full compliance with the provincial requirements in the revised state of emergency.

We care about the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of our church and community; and since worshiping, learning the Bible, and praying together is an essential part of our lives as Christians, we want to do all that we can to facilitate this need. We also recognize that every person has different tolerances, and every family has different circumstances; we encourage and support you in making the best decision for yourself and your family.

With the weather being unpredictable, we will be determining if Drive-In Church is happening week-to-week. Stay connected and watch for updates.

  • The church building will be closed; washrooms are not available.
  • The electronic donation center will be available outside (or you can donate online); physical distancing and sanitary precautions will be maintained.
  • People who are carpooling with someone outside their household or “bubble family” – and thus, cannot maintain social distance – should wear a mask which covers the mouth and nose.
  • If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please stay home and contact us with your prayer request; we will pray for your healing.

If you have any further questions that have not been answered above or on the COVID-19 information page, please contact us.

(Philippians 4:6-7) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
